AU Cornerstone DC Program

Thursday, April 18, 2024
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
Location: Virtual

Description:
In this session you will learn more about AU Cornerstone D.C., an invitation-based yearlong program designed for first-year students seeking to elevate their experience. During the fall semester, students work closely with the AU Cornerstone program staff and Career Center on crafting their resume/cover letter, participating in internship preparatory events, and landing an internship. In the spring semester, students participate in a supervised internship in Washington, D.C., for 15 hours each week and earn three credits. Internship students gain valuable professional development, ensuring they are not only college-ready but work-place ready. Students in AU Cornerstone are also a part of University College (UC), AU's largest first-year living-learning community. UC sets the stage, offering the best elements of college life – from meeting new people and enjoying residence hall living to studying with top-notch professors and discovering your passion. This holistic journey ensures that as you explore the AU Cornerstone Program, you'll find inspiration and community throughout the entire academic year.
